Our office

Access Community Housing Company Ltd is a Not for Profit organisation.

We have operated since September 1991 under the name of Access Community Housing Company Ltd and recently changed our structure to a Company Limited by Guarantee.
 
We manage several housing provider programs aimed at providing secure, affordable housing to families and individuals which are funded by the Department of Housing.
These include:

  • Community Rent Scheme - Cairns and Mossman and surrounding areas.
  • Community Managed Studio Units - Cairns
  • Long Term Housing (general) - Cairns and Babinda
  • Long Term Housing (aged) - Cairns

We also provide Tenants Advice and Advocacy which is funded mainly by the Residential Tenancies Authority from interest earned on bonds and with some contribution from the Department of Housing.
