Cairns Regional Council Evacuation and Recovery Register

Residents who are frail, aged and/or have a disability may be place on Council’s Evacuation and Recovery Register.

Criteria for being placed on the list include:

• Living alone; and
• Have no friends or relatives in the local area; and
• Do not have transport; and
• Able to administer your own medication (if required); and
• Not receiving significant assistance or support from a funded service provider.

If evacuation is needed, vulnerable residents may be helped to evacuate and taken to a public shelter, refuge or other place of safety. Assistance with essential supplies can also be provided.

Your completed form can handed to Access Community Housing (we will pass it on to the CRC), or you can email it directly to disasterunit@cairns.qld.gov.au.
