Most employees, including Tenancy Officers, Property Officers, Support Officers, Administration staff and casual staff are paid in accordance with the Social and Community, Home Care and Disability Services award. Senior Managers are on individual agreements. All staff are eligible for generous salary sacrifice provisions and have access to an employee assistance program.

Current Vacancies


The purpose of the Accountant position is to support the Manager of Finance and Corporate Services, and to assist with the general oversight of the organisation’s finance function, ensuring the transparency and integrity of all financial information.


Selection Criteria


  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with individuals and families who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander as well as with other culturally diverse communities.


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or commerce.
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting role.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with a range of different stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to manage conflict and deal with difficult situations across a diverse client group.
  • Current Queensland Drivers Licence.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Working with Children and police checks.
  • Evidence of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status and/or a medical exemption.


This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. Working days will generally be Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm.


Salary packaging a tax-free amount is available to all ACHC employees (currently $15,899 per annum).
